Burnley FC has a wide fan base. Actors, musicians, politicians, even HRH Prince Charles, openly follow the Clarets. Burnley Chat want to speak to a variety of fans throughout the season. We want your feedback on games, news, developments….anything you think we should cover.
We start with Leo Cassidy. Leo might be only 12 years but he is a fanatical Claret. Leo reviews the Burnley v Parma game for us.
Name: Leo Cassidy
Occupation: Student – I am only 12 years old
Season ticket holder: Yes. I go in the James Hargreaves with my dad and cousins
Favourite player: Ben Mee or Jay Rodriguez
Burnley’s best player: Ben Mee or Jay Rodriguez
Favourite Burnley game: Burnley v Blackburn at Ewood. Won 2-1. Danny Ings and Shackell scored. Atmosphere was mad. My dad wasn’t going to let me go at first but I’m glad he did.
Least favourite Burnley game: When we got beat 5-0 at Manchester City. I went with a load of city fans, it was horrible.
Match Day Routine: We walk to the Turf. We meet our friends at the Thornton Arms and then get to the game early. I like to watch the players warm up. I like a pie at half time. Steak pie. I like the away games but don’t get to that many, especially when they are on a school night.
What do you think about Tom Heaton: He was great but I like Nick Pope. So I am not too bothered. My grandad is more bothered that he has gone.
Who do you think we should sign: A midfielder. As back up.
Give us your thoughts on Burnley v Parma: I think Jay has showed that he can score lots of goals for us. I followed him at WBA and he scored lots there. The passing was really good. I thought against Parma and Nice we have shown that we are a lot better than people think.
The defence was solid. My dad thinks that if we lose Tarky it will be bad news. But I honestly think Mee is the best defender we have. Gibson hasn’t had a chance. But he played well on Saturday. Dwight McNeil is only going to get better as well. I am glad that Sean Dyche has kept him. I honestly think we will do even better than last season.
MOM v Parma: Mee or Jay
Predicted finish: 12th
